Boutique firm expands team with deep biotechhealthcare and consumer experience

 


 

VIENNA, Va., September 21, 2020 – Verge Scientific Communications, a boutique brand strategy and communications agency dedicated to shaping the stories of pioneering companies, today announced the addition of seasoned communications strategists, Darby Pearson and Sarah O’Connell to its expanding team. Pearson joins the firm as Senior Director to lead the company’s work with innovator health and consumer brands, and O’Connell joins as Director, to manage communications for emerging health and life sciences clients.

Pearson joins Verge from Spectrum where she was Executive Vice President leading the company’s work for several major consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies and brands, as well as for leading biotech and life sciences-focused companies and organizations. Throughout her career, Pearson has served as a trusted and valued advisor to her clients, shaping and directing strategic communications programs and translating the science behind products to convey the impact of innovation.

O’Connell joins Verge from RXMOSAIC where she was Vice President, overseeing a large and integrated team supporting the oncology/hematology franchise of a major pharmaceutical company. She previously managed communications for emerging biotechnology and health technology companies driving strategic planning, corporate communications, data, regulatory, and brand milestones across a wide range of therapeutic areas.
