The Opportunity

Responsibilities
- Manage full life cycle recruitment process; posting and job description creation, advertisement, sourcing, candidate evaluation, interview scheduling, feedback analysis and offer extension for candidates in a variety of positions and levels
- Promotes and hires for the Fellowship/Internship program
- Utilize the applicant tracking system to post positions, manage and communicate with candidates, develop reports, and maintain all recruitment data

Requirements
- 5+ years of full life cycle recruiting experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent related experience

Responsibilities
- Perform the day-to-day activities of all accounting operational functions to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management
- Manage vendor process including entering vendor invoices, responding to vendor inquiries
- Provide Senior Director, Finance with weekly vendor check run
- Company credit card management and reconciliations
- Maintaining the General Ledger with month-end account reconciliations
- Assist with other activities associated with monthly close
- Preparing financial reports and assisting with financial analysis
- In alignment with our collaborative work environment, there may be other job functions that this role is asked to execute to support team members and the firm overall
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with full G/L, A/P and A/R responsibilities required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent related experience
- Knowledge of full charge bookkeeping and experience preparing financial statements
- Advanced QuickBooks user, specifically QuickBooks Online
- Experience with NetSuite
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and professional interpersonal communications skills
- Strong research and writing skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment including responding to frequent demands of multiple customers (internal and external)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); comfortable using various business productivity apps (Slack, Zoom)

Responsibilities
- Support account teams in day-to-day activities including media monitoring, research, writing, visual content development, project management, media relations, results reporting and client communications
- Conduct daily media monitoring and analysis of news coverage and social media to identify opportunities and inform communications strategies for Verge clients
- Conduct research on breakthrough science, diseases, treatment modalities, health issues and more
- Develop a variety of materials intended for media, investors, industry partners, health care professionals and patients
- Develop social media content, blog articles, presentations, website copy
- Liaise with designers and medical illustrators to bring science stories to life visually
- Assist in compiling and writing research and client results reports, internal scientific briefs for client kick-offs and other materials as requested
- Develop and maintain media and key influencer lists, industry awards and thought-leadership opportunities
- Assist with administrative account duties such as preparing activity reports, scheduling

Requirements
- Degree or experience in Communications, Public Relations, or Life Sciences (prior science communications experience or PR agency internship a plus)
